Matt’s legal career has been varied and vast. He has worked in private practice with firms, as a solo practitioner, and now as a deputy county prosecutor. He has also worked in family law, civil law (business formation, wills and trusts, creditor/debtor law, landlord-tenant law), criminal law, and patents and trademarks.

Through his work as a deputy prosecutor, Matt has seen the positive impact that a judge can have, giving the community a sense of consistency and trust – he wants to provide that to our community. Matt’s expansive legal and life experience—including being the prosecutor’s representative when Kittitas County founded a behavioral health court and his involvement with and advocacy for the special needs community—makes him uniquely qualified to serve as Kittitas County’s next judge.
